ArT

As many of you know i love color....I wonder how you would know that. Anyway, I am taking art this semester and never liked to stray away from sketching. That was my domain...my comfort zone if you will. But being in art this year has made me think outside of the box and use color in my art.
so the piece above is actually my rough draft of a place matt that we are making. I never thought i would like abstract art. I found out that i love throwing paint around and seeing it form to its own ideas. There are no limits an
d no restrictions. No erasers, no sharperners. It makes me feel like im young again. The main reason why I used to sketch black and white is because i was always depressed and the black and white showed that more. The fact that I could use the absence of color to reflect perhaps the absence of other things in my life was appealing. But i now think that reguardless of what i have gone through color is always going to make things better.

  1. Nice blog:) It makes me think of your artwork, which is great. I love your use of color, especially in the clay piece we made. I was rather jealous of yours:)

  2. I enjoyed your piece because I love color to and once I was in art at my old school in Owatonna I came up with some weird thoughts to do for my paintings. I drew people, eyes, and other things even though I wasn’t good at them I took my time and did my best and they turned out wonderful because I was one of the three people that had an A. I like how you express your feelings through color. Question Do you show effect in your mood in the color clothes you wear to? Keep up the good work Dominique your blogs are great. ♥ Deanna Nichols

  3. I am also in art class. I typically tecd to stay closer to the darker colors like black, dark purple, dark red, dark blue...well you get the idea. Reading your blog made me register that maybe I create dark things in my art because I;m not always that happy. From now on I'll try to be a little more colorful. Maybe I'll even paint swomething yellow....or even pink!

  4. I know exactly what you mean. I love to sketch as well, but it always ends up fallowing my mood. Which is more or less bleak. I really do believe that the artworj someone produces reflex's them in one way or another whether they no it or not.
