Valentine's Day ♥

Valentine's Day is full of pinks, reds, and purples. However everyone knows the true color of this day is red. This always makes me think why these colors were chosen. Perhaps its because red is like blood. The blood that flows through our hearts. But what makes me think of even questioning the choice of red is that i often associate red with anger and frustration. I know most see it also as passion and love, but how can one color mean so many things that contradict themselves entirely? i like to think that people put colors into categories and then begin to pare them with memories they have had. Someone who has seen blood shed in their younger years takes red as a negative thing. Some one who has been showered with love and affection might see it as passion and trust. So the question is, who decided that red was positive? Some one who probably had a good life. Just some more random thoughts of mine... trust me, there are going to be many more to come.

  1. I really admire your ability to take such a simple thing, like Valentines Day and add a whole new spin on it. Good work!

  2. I agree with Lauren because this is a wonderful piece how you put your own questioning into it and how you just put feelings into it . GOOD JOB!
